The Centre for Media and Communication Research (CMCR) is organising a conference on “Advancing Responsible AI Communication Scholarship: Bridging Research and Global Collaboration”. This conference aims to critically examine the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on communication scholarship, with an emphasis on advancing responsible research practices and ethical public discourse. The event acknowledges both the possibilities and complexities that AI introduces in the production, dissemination, and stewardship of knowledge within an increasingly interconnected global landscape.

This international conference features a one-day symposium alongside a half-day graduate students’ session dedicated to emerging researchers. Designed as a collaborative forum, the event brings together distinguished scholars, seasoned academics, and rising talent from around the world. By engaging experts from leading institutions in the United States, South Korea, and Hong Kong, it underscores HKBU’s commitment to internationalization and cross-border academic exchange. The graduate conference segment specifically supports emerging scholars by offering meaningful networking opportunities, mentorship from global experts, and pathways for professional development.

Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to join!
